FAQs
What is a notary public?
A notary public is a state-appointed official who verifies the identity of signers, witnesses the signing of important documents, and helps prevent fraud by ensuring documents are signed willingly and knowingly.
What types of documents can you notarize?
Real estate documents (deeds, mortgages, loan closings)
Legal documents (affidavits, wills, power of attorney)
Business contracts
Personal documents (title transfers, travel consent forms, etc.)
If you’re unsure whether your document requires notarization, just ask!
What do you charge?
In Colorado, notary fees are regulated by the state. I have a flat $15 fee per notarized document in person. Electronic notarization and remote notarization is a flat $25 fee.
Loan signings start at $100.
There is a flat $5 travel fee. Travel fees are convenience fees; they are separate from the fees charged for notarial acts.
What kind of ID do I need?
- State-issued driver’s license
- State-issued identification card
- U.S. passport issued by the U.S. Department of State
- U.S. military ID
- State, county and local government IDs
The name on your ID must match the name on the document being signed.
Social Security cards, birth or marriage certificates, credit cards, school IDs, library cards & temporary driver’s licenses are not acceptable forms of ID for notarization purposes.
Do you offer mobile notary services?
Yes! I provide mobile notary services and can meet you at your home, office, coffee shop, or another agreed location for convenience.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can contact me directly at contact@notarybydaisy.com, or use the contact form on this website. I’ll confirm a time and location that works best for you.
What forms of payments do you accept?
I accept cash, credit/debit card, PayPal, and Venmo.
Can you notarize documents online?
Yes — Colorado allows remote and electronic notarization. That means I can notarize your documents on a computer and/or securely through an online video platform, no matter where you are.
What’s the main difference between an electronic notarization and a remote notarization?
Electronic notarization
- Requires that the Colorado notary public and the person for whom the notarial act is being performed be in the same room.
- Requires the document to be signed electronically, in most cases looking at a computer or other viewing screen.
- Does not use audio-video communication.
Remote notarization
- While the notary public must still be in Colorado, the notary public is not in the same location as the individual for whom the notarial act is performed.
- Requires the document to be signed electronically with the notary and remotely located individual in separate locations.
- Requires the use of real time audio-video communication.
Do you provide legal advice?
No. As a notary public, I cannot provide legal advice or interpret the contents of documents. If you have questions about your document, please consult an attorney before the notarization.
